New Patient Information
Welcome! Dr. Melody Ward and the rest of our specialty team are looking forward to providing a high-quality care experience that’s focused on your specific needs. If you’ve recently scheduled a first consultation, we do ask that you take a few minutes and read through the helpful information below about what to expect. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us in Towson or Millersville, MD and ask.
Your First Visit
During the initial consultation, patients will sit down for a comprehensive periodontal examination with Dr. Ward that includes all-digital X-rays. Our goal is to assess your current health and pinpoint any strange or concerning findings that may need further attention. Once we have all of the information we need, Dr. Ward will sit down with you on-on-one in order to review it and create a proposed treatment plan. Ideally, we want you to leave feeling very confident about the future of your smile and oral health.
In order to save patients some valuable time at their first appointment, we’ve uploaded all of the forms you’ll need to complete here online. Just click on the link below to download the file, print it out at home, and write in your information where designated. Once you arrive at the periodontal office and turn the pages in to the front desk team, you’ll be able to meet with Dr. Ward in record time. Any problems with accessing the forms? Please let us know – we can also send them to you directly.
Post Op Instructions
Dr. Ward wants to do everything in her power to help patients have a successful care experience, even after they’ve left our periodontal office. That’s why she provides detailed post-operative instructions for our offered procedures here online for easy access. Just click on the button below to download a copy. If you are ever experiencing heavy bleeding or intense oral pain in the days following treatment, don’t hesitate to contact our Towson or Millersville location immediately for assistance.
If you would like to take advantage of dental insurance benefits, our knowledgeable team members would be happy to submit claims on your behalf and personally oversee the entire reimbursement process so that you receive what you deserve – the patient doesn’t have to lift a finger! Because we are not an in-network provider, we will collect payment in full at the time of your visit. Your insurance provider will then reimburse you directly as the coverage dictates.
If you are interested in a larger treatment plan and would like to break down your cost into smaller installments, that’s no problem at all! Dr. Ward is happy to offer in-house financing, and our team members can review your budget in order to develop a personalized schedule that fits your needs best. Whether you’d prefer to make payments over a couple of months or an entire year, we’ll go above and beyond to make this process simple and smooth.
